Subject: lchown() error in rsnapshot 1.2.9

Hello

Have just upgraded rsnapshot from 1.2.1 to 1.2.9. I use gentoo (gcc 3.4.6) and
1.2.1 has operated perfectly since original install. I now get the following
error (snipped):

Setting locale to POSIX "C"
echo 20811 > /var/run/rsnapshot.pid
/bin/rm -rf /usr/.snapshots/hourly.5/
mv /usr/.snapshots/hourly.4/ /usr/.snapshots/hourly.5/
mv /usr/.snapshots/hourly.3/ /usr/.snapshots/hourly.4/
mv /usr/.snapshots/hourly.2/ /usr/.snapshots/hourly.3/
mv /usr/.snapshots/hourly.1/ /usr/.snapshots/hourly.2/
native_cp_al("/usr/.snapshots/hourly.0", "/usr/.snapshots/hourly.1")

rsnapshot encountered an error! The program was invoked with these options:
/usr/bin/rsnapshot hourly

ERROR: Error! cp_al("/usr/.snapshots/hourly.0/", "/usr/.snapshots/hourly.1/")

    ERROR: Error! cp_al("/usr/.snapshots/hourly.0/", \
    "/usr/.snapshots/hourly.1/")
rm -f /var/run/rsnapshot.pid

I can find no other ref. to this error other than on linuxpakistan site where
user just advises he solved problem. Without explanation. Can anyone point
me in the right direction?

TIA

Bogo
