I believe that yes, there are options for: manually approving all sign-ups; manually approving posts from new users While the number of sign-ups is small (less than five a day) and the number of posts *from* new users is also small, many of those new users are having difficulty with rsnapshot and want help. Delaying giving them help is bad for them and is bad for the rest of us too, as delaying helping new users for any piece of software often results in the user going elsewhere and using something else. Fewer users for rsnapshot means fewer good ideas, fewer bug reports, and fewer people to help the next new user (and so more work for those of us already here :-). So I *really* don't want to moderate new users, especially when it might take a couple of days to get round to approving them. I'll do it if the spam problem gets bad, but right now it's acceptable. Well, as acceptable as spam gets. Those of you who have seen me posting elsewhere will know that I am something of an extremist when it comes to being intolerant of spammers, so I didn't decide that lightly! -- David Cantrell | Official London Perl Mongers Bad Influence Blessed are the pessimists, for they test their backups ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
