Subject: rsnapshot hangs when run from cron

I am still trying to reason out why I am having this problem.

When run from terminal :

# rsnapshot hourly works great, finishes everything listed in the conf
file and ends by rm -f the pid:
rm -f /var/run/rsnapshot.pid
/usr/bin/logger -i -p user.info -t rsnapshot
/usr/local/bin/rsnapshot -V \
hourly: completed successfully

I can run it with perl as well ( /usr/local/bin/perl -w )

But when it runs from a cron job, it does not finish. It just stops at
an arbitrary point. No process is left running either. Its done and gone.

crontab looks like:

# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - edit the master and reinstall.
# (/tmp/crontab.7767 installed on Thu Aug 3 15:34:01 2006)
# (Cron version -- $Id: crontab.c,v 2.13 1994/01/17 03:20:37 vixie Exp $)
# 40 * * * * /usr/local/bin/rsnapshot -V hourly
@daily /usr/local/bin/rsnapshot -V daily
@weekly /usr/local/bin/rsnapshot -V weekly
@monthly /usr/local/bin/rsnapshot -V monthly

As I said I have also tried as /usr/local/bin/perl -w
/usr/local/bin/rsnapshot -V daily

I am using Mandriva 2006 . Any one have a similar issue, or can spot
the mistake I am making?

Thanks!

Steve
