It turns out that you can use gnu coreutils > 5.3 with rsnapshot >= 1.2.9
(but that note was written before 1.2.9 was released).

You should be able to use cmd_cp (even with coreutils > 5.3) as long as
you have rsnapshot 1.2.9 (or future versions).

My first suggestion is to uncomment cmd_cp.
If that doesn't fix the problem, try at David Cantrell's suggestion in
the Lchown thread.
