I've tried to reproduce the problem you are seeing and I have not been able to. I am using Linux (Fedora Core 3), and running rsnapshot 1.2.9 from a root shell (not from cron), like this: # rsnapshot -c /tmp/rsnapshot.conf daily The test config file looks like this: $ awk '/^[^#]/' /tmp/rsnapshot.conf config_version 1.2 snapshot_root /tmp/snapshots/ cmd_cp /bin/cp cmd_rm /bin/rm cmd_rsync /usr/bin/rsync cmd_ssh /usr/bin/ssh cmd_logger /usr/bin/logger cmd_du /usr/bin/du interval daily 7 interval weekly 4 interval monthly 3 verbose 2 loglevel 3 logfile /tmp/rsnapshot.log backup /tmp/foo ./ $ /tmp/snapshots and /tmp/foo are both on / which is an ext3 file system. > Looking at daily.0 still shows the link! > > What's the deal? Can you try to simulate the problem in a test area by creating some files and using a separate config file (perhaps like the one above). If you find the same problem, then send us a list of commands to run to re-create your test environment and run the same test. > Ben Lake > > Using Tomcat but need to do more?
