Install the Lchown module from the CPAN and then if your OS supports the
lchown() system call (and I'd be shocked if FreeBSD didn't) this will go
away. This:

$ sudo perl -MCPAN -e 'install Lchown'

should do the trick. Note that the lchown() system call often requires
that you are running as root.
