I appreciate the offer, but unfortunately I've been very busy lately, and no amount of bribing will help. I've been behind on BackupPC emails too (thanks for everyone pitching in on replies), plus I'm trying to get out a few bug fixes released in a new version 2.1.1. But it would be great to discuss the architecture of such a mechanism. Could it be below the application level, eg: invisible to BackupPC?
