sysutils.backup.backuppc.general

Oops! Nice typo. That should be ....

mkdir /opt/backuppc/files/pc/archives-disk
ln -s /opt/backuppc/files/conf/archives-disk.pl /opt/backuppc/files/pc/archives-disk/archives-disk.pl

Hi Carl,

By chance I did a clean backuppc test install tonight, so I followed your path and came up with the same error.

Fixed it by creating the pc subdirectory (my paths differ from yours):

mkdir /opt/backuppc/files/pc/archives-disk
ln -s /opt/backuppc/files/conf/archives-disk.pl /opt/backuppc/files/pc/archives-disk/pc/archives-disk/archives-disk.pl

Your multiple runs may have created the directory automatically but I always do it manually.

I too am very interested in automating the archives, both to CDRW and to tape. I'm reading through the postings to try and come up with something that works.

and now things work.

Any ideas, anyone?
