Hi,
We were using
the the pre-packaged cygwin -rsync software (cygwin-rsyncd-2.6.2_0.zip),
downloaded from BackupPC site). Then recently we installed CYGWIN and rsync
(2.6.3) package from http://cygwin.com.
When we run
Rsync 2.6.3 (rsync.exe) in the command prompt, it works fine in the Windows
machine. But not able to add in the service using the new cygrunsrv.exe,
rsync.exe and cygwin.dll. We are getting the following error.
C:\rsyncd>cygrunsrv.exe -I rsyncd_win -p c:/rsyncd/rsync.exe -a
"--config=c:/rsyncd/rsyncd.conf --daemon
--no-detach"
C:\rsyncd>cygrunsrv.exe --start rsyncd_win
cygrunsrv:
Error starting a service: QueryServiceStatus: Win32 error 1053:
The
service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
fashion.
Expecting your valuable reply on
this, OR if anybody has the prepackaged cygwin-rsync (2.6.3)
software, that also will be helpful.
