RE: Rsync transfer getting interrupted: msg#00159sysutils.backup.backuppc.general
I am not sure if this is relevant in your case, but the last line of your post reminded me of a problem I had at one point. You mention below that you will have to contact their ISP - is the PC you are backing up remote over a broadband connection? Does the client PC or their router get its' IP address from the ISP's DHCP server? What is the interval the ISP drops the connection and hands out a new IP address? > -----Original Message----- > From: backuppc-users-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:backuppc-users-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of > Ty Christensen > Sent: 23 February 2005 02:02 > To: backuppc-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: RE: [BackupPC-users] Rsync transfer getting interrupted > > > I hate to reply to my own post, but I found another bit of useful > information while doing more troubleshooting. > > During the backup run, Rsyncd + Cygrunsrv on the client occupies it's > standard 100% CPU on one of the processors in the system.
