testing e-mails from backuppc: msg#00151sysutils.backup.backuppc.general
We have a client who is concerned that BackupPC is not constantly sending them e-mail messages telling them that things are OK, like other backup programs do. (As an experienced backup admin, the only value that constant mails usually have for me, is to remind me to swap tapes; so backuppc's behavior of not mailing unless there's a problem is far preferable). What's the best way to test BackupPC's mail-sending functionality? <wishlist> There should be a 'send test e-mail' button in the Admin Options page. </wishlist> -- Carl Soderstrom Systems Administrator Real-Time Enterprises www.real-time.com ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
