Feature Request - Message to user of machine being backed up: msg#00137sysutils.backup.backuppc.general
Hello - I am using BackupPC at the library where I work with great success - it has solved many problems for me. However - This morning, I was working on my PC, and I noticed that the hard drive was working like mad, and the systray network traffic indicator was solidly on all the time. I could not for the life of me figure out what process was running so hard, and I thought I might have picked up a virus. It was, of course, BackupPC doing its job. Do you suppose that BackupPC could be taught to send an SMB messaage to the PC that it is going to backup, and maybe periodically during the backup, so that a user will not become alarmed at all the HD and network activity? Just an idea.
