Re: Got fatal error during xfer: msg#00136sysutils.backup.backuppc.general
Hi, I started a full backupc with /usr/share/backuppc/bin/BackupPC_dump -f -v ehl01 At the beginning of the backup I get the following errors. Running: /usr/bin/ssh -q -x -n -l root ehl01 /bin/tar -c -v -f - -C /home --totals . started full dump, share=/home Xfer PIDs are now 25581,25580 xferPids 25581,25580 cmdExecOrEval: about to exec /usr/bin/ssh -q -x -n -l root ehl01 /bin/tar -c -v -f - -C /home --totals . tarExtract: tarExtract: ./: checksum error at create 0 0/0 0 tarExtract: . tarExtract: : checksum error at tarExtract: Can't open /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ for empty output create 0 0/0 0 . tarExtract: : checksum error at tarExtract: Unable to open /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ for writing tarExtract: Botch, no matches on /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ (03f3bb061ae2efcb0913f58ec85cc09f) pool 0 0/0 5742 . tarExtract: : checksum error at tarExtract: Unable to open /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ for writing tarExtract: Botch, no matches on /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ (ec5bac7f1cc2f15c063bf9237a540d03) pool 0 0/0 1305 . ..... After a few minutes I see a _lot_ of these messages until the backup stops with the final error (this time I stopped the backup, because I couldn't see which file causes the final error last time, there was nothing in the log). pool 0 0/0 340 . tarExtract: : checksum error at tarExtract: Unable to open /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ for writing tarExtract: Botch, no matches on /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ (1f1a91671145fea2fe2da620d82c16f0) pool 0 0/0 340 . tarExtract: : checksum error at tarExtract: Can't open /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ for empty output create 0 0/0 0 . tarExtract: : checksum error at tarExtract: Unable to open /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ for writing tarExtract: Botch, no matches on /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ (189d16ad6b020740783ca848d47f2f4a) pool 0 0/0 327 . tarExtract: : checksum error at tarExtract: Can't open /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ for empty output create 0 0/0 0 . tarExtract: : checksum error at tarExtract: Unable to open /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ for writing tarExtract: Botch, no matches on /var/lib/backuppc/pc/ehl01/new/f%2fhome/ (ff42131fc0a4805ddc1b37f0953b9490) pool 0 0/0 12428 . Before I started the backup I removed the whole backuppc/pc/ehl01/ directory. I wanted to start from scratch.
