Dual boot machine backup startegy?: msg#00129sysutils.backup.backuppc.general
I now have BackupPC working great for our 5 machine home lan of mixed Mac, Linux and XP machines. The only kicker is I am not sure how to handle my personal desktop machine, which is a dual-boot XP/Linux machine. When it is linux, I want it to backup using rsync, backing up /etc, /home, /usr/local, etc. When it is up as XP, there is a samba share of documents I wat to grab. Should I add it as 2 different hostname aliases, albeit the same ip, and let the failures fall where they may? Would that work?
