disk replication with DRBD or the like is a good idea; tho I don't know how
well it works over lower-bandwidth links.

What we really need is for Craig to write some sort of replication mechanism
for BackupPC. ;) Craig, how much do you think it might cost to bribe you to
work on something like that? maybe we can find a number of people willing to
chip in on that, since it seems to be such a widely-desired feature.
