Backup error on Linux hosts only

I am getting the following error on the Linux hosts only….

 

full backup started for directory /

Got fatal error during xfer (Unable to read 4 bytes)

Backup aborted (Unable to read 4 bytes)

 

Linux hosts are being backed up using rsync….Windows hosts are backing up with no problem using rsyncd……

 

Any one have suggestions?
