I've been using it here at work for about a year now; and have been very happy with it. I set up a test backup server for a few machines; and it was so convenient and easy to use that the boss had me backing up all kinds of things very soon. we're currently backing up about 50 hosts, with ~800GB of total data. it's running on a 750MHz Duron, with 512MB RAM and 250GB of disk on 3ware IDE RAID controllers and Linux LVM for flexibility. Since then, we've deployed it on several large clients' networks, including a 1200GB disk array that's backing up several servers at a Co-Lo in Virginia to some offices in Arizona. This handles 1800 users' data (mail, images, documents); as well as their authentication information and some databases. Everyone seems pretty universally happy with it. I've used it a few times to restore servers and workstations (including my own) after disks have died or been corrupted (fan dies, disks overheat, *all* the disks in the RAID array die, there goes your data). -- Carl Soderstrom Systems Administrator Real-Time Enterprises www.real-time.com ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
