Subject: RE: Force full backup using BackupPC_serverMesg

I see... That's too bad. Last question then. I followed your advice on using
the BackupPC_serverMesg command but here's what I get:

[backuppc@gil /]$ /backups/bin/BackupPC_serverMesg backup gil 192.168.0.145
chris 1
Got reply: error: unknown host 192.168.0.145

"gil" is my server backup and this is its actual ip address.

I don't get it... My /etc/hosts file is populated properly, since regular
backups work just fine. And before you ask, as shown in the prompt, yes, I'm
running the command as the backuppc user.

Any thoughts?

And what's the 1 actually for? Is it to force a full backup? If so, what's
the value to force incremental?

Thanks a lot! :)

Sorry, no. Just look at the source for BackupPC.
