'Corrupted message' in LOG file

Hello all,

I'm backing up several Windows computers on to a Linux machine with
smbclient.  The logs for the individual hosts seem to be okay but the LOG
file for the server gives errors like this:

2004-08-18 20:09:30 Corrupted message 'GUejPkLYdy/3fWdPvWyfnQ status
host(karl)' from client 'unix socket': shutting down client connection
2004-08-18 20:09:38 Started incr backup on karl (pid=26981, share=C)
2004-08-18 20:10:50 Finished incr backup on karl
2004-08-18 20:10:50 Running BackupPC_link karl (pid=26998)
2004-08-18 20:11:01 Finished karl (BackupPC_link karl)

It happens intermittently for all the hosts, the individual logs show that
the backup was successful but I haven't verified the backups yet.  Anyone
got any ideas on what could be causing these errors?
