problem with autoconf2.59 when building mysql++

Hi there,

 

I am trying to build the latest version of mysql++ on my solaris2.8 with
gcc3.3.2. I am having problem with autoconf 2.59 which I downloaded from
Sun's website and always complains about AC_PROG_LIBTOOL.. The trace is
as following:

 

bash-2.03$ ./bootstrap

+ libtoolize --force --copy

You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.

+ aclocal

+ autoheader

configure.in:17: /usr/local/bin/m4: ERROR: Reading inserted file: No
such file or directory

autom4te: /usr/local/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1

autoheader: /usr/local/bin/autom4te failed with

 

In my configure.in file, line 17 is :

AC_PROG_LIBTOOL

 

I just downloaded the src code package from Sun and rebuild it on my
machine. The build goes smoothly. However when I run "make check", it
failed at many places and finally it shows:

183: [Libtool]                                    FAILED (foreign.at:75)

 

Attached please find more detailed trace file.

 

Anything wrong with my environment?
