Summary: Tiny wavetable and MIDI file playback

Initial Comment:
What do you think about MIDI file playback?

In MIDI files only the information when and how long
which tone has to be played is stored.

For the beginning only had to sample two or three
octaves of a single intrument, e.g. an organ in very short
and low quality mono mp3s as wavetable.
When the user selects a .MID file, he is asked which
channel (voice) of the file he wants to play, and the
information for this channel in the file is used as "playlist"
for the wavetable mp3s.

This could be useful for people who want to play an
instrument and need a second voice or want to learn a
new song away from home.
Would also be a fine feature to tune a guitar or violin...

*.kar file support would be the second step, kar files are
very similar to mid files, but also contain karaoke lyrics...
The lyrics could be displayed in the display, and in
combinaion with a recorder this could also be funny...
