Printing with CUPS ?

Hi everybody!
I wanna print with the CUPS. After installing and starting there's no
parallel device for the printer (1st parallel interface). Only seriel or
usb devices. Configuring with the printer manager also fails. There's no
way to print. On a linux bxo the configuration of cups is very easy and
works fine. Doing the same on an opensolaris box fails.
Has anyone brought cups to print on opensolaris ?
(Printer is Brother HL1430, Opensolaris XXL-edition)
