I took it out of the distribution over three years ago.  I didn't keep
up with the changes to printf, on which it's based, and, at the time,
didn't have any portable way to keep it from trivially overwriting its
buffers.  Now that asprintf/ vasprintf are available more universally,
I can look at updating it.
