I wonder what they are thinking?

I'd love to hear more details about this so I can be more informed when I hear 
the alarm bells runging, but this is one of those news items that raises red 
flags. We already have browsers eshewing the OS and being all-powerful, as well 
as virtualization and hypervisors, but do we really also need to go the other 
direction and embed such avenues into hardware?
