new centrino has backdoor

Does anyone know about the new wireless backdoor in the new centrino chips?

Apparently it allows remote management and lets the machine
automatically download software to fight virus attacks. Sounds like a
really nice attack vector to me, I wonder what they are using for
encryption and authentication.
