I'll look into what IP issues there are (if any) and post what I find
out. As always code contributions are encouraged and will be evaluated
for inclusion in a future release.

It seems so wierd to think that you could be sued for writing original
code. There is something distinctly "anti-progress" about that. Is
anybody on the list living in a country that does not honor software
copyrights? I once saw some code that had been developed by programmers
in philidelphia who were working "under contract" to a firm in Tel Aviv
to sidestep the US encryption export laws. Never mind that both firms
had the same owners.
