Cannot get barnyard to log to db using base64 instead of HEX

Hello everyone,

I have a question that I thought would be fairly simple, I checked the
docs, forums and net many times over to no avail. I know that the
default logging for the snort database plugin and barnyard is HEX. However
you can configure the snort database plugin to log in base64 in the
snort.conf file. However, i cannot find a setting like this for barnyard. The
only place i can see to change the setting is in the sensor table in
mysql. I don't think that is the correct way to do it. Does barnyard
only log stuff to the data  table in HEX or am i missing something
really obvious?
