It might be better for now, if I only translate. You know the source
code and know what should be there and what sould not.

I send first version of the translation as an attachment with this
mail. If you check that I didn't break anything and make other
necessary modifications, I can then continue translation there on
meta.wikipedia.org.

Two questions:

There is MonthAbbreviations in the language file. I could translate
"Jan" as "tammi" or even "tam" for short of "tammikuu", but such
abbreviations are not used in Finnish. Common forms for Finnish dates
are "5. tammikuuta 2003" (long) and "5.1.2003" (short), so if shorter
form is wanted months are expressed as numbers.  How is this handled?

What will be the character encoding for Finnish wikipedia? Will it be
UTF-8, ISO-8859-1 or something else? I found a mention from Special
characters article that some wikipedias use UTF-8 and some don't.
