Introducing WormMart: msg#00018science.biology.wormbase.general
WormBase is pleased to announce the public release of WormMart. WormMart is a flexible tool for retrieving data en masse from WormBase. http://www.wormbase.org/BioMart/martview WormMart is currently limited to a single primary focal point (genes). Output can be filtered by a large number of parameters including things such as species, database IDs, location, and the presence of select annotations. Finally, a large number features, structures, or sequences can be selected for inclusion in the output. Data can be dumped in a variety of formats including HTML, plain text and even Microsoft Excel. WormMart is intended as an eventual replacement for the "Batch Genes" and "Batch Sequences" pages. As a first step, you will notice that the main navigation bar at the top of every page has changed. We've replaced the "Batch Genes" link with a link to WormMart. The "Batch" pages will still be available, linked through the Site Map and listed in the website directory on the main page. Please let us know what features you would like to see available in future implementations of WormMart. Your questions and comments are always welcome at help@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Todd Harris and the WormBase Consortium -- Related links: The BioMart project http://www.ebi.ac.uk/biomart/ About WormMart at WormBase http://www.wormbase.org/about/wormmart.html The WormBase Site Map http://www.wormbase.org/db/misc/site_map |
