Re: (newbie question) gem: msg#02422ruby-talk
I had trouble with gem on 64 bit linux systems in the past. I had to resort to building gem from source to get any resolution. The latest 32-bit version of Ubuntu, 9.04, has gem version 1.3.1, which I believe resolves this problem. 2009/7/31 Tena Sakai <tsakai@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Hi, > > I am a Ruby newbie. > > The version I am using is: > > ruby 1.8.7 (2008-08-11 patchlevel 72) [x86_64-linux] > > The following commands work (or I haven't found anything > disagreeable so far): > > irb > ruby > ri > > But gem doesn't work for me.
