To clarify further....Mac OS X is a Unix (BSD) based OS "developed" under
Open Source in the Darwin Project. Then of course Apple takes it and puts
a fancy interface on it and packages it as the Mas OS. These Unix
underpinnings are what make it so nice and easy to integrate into existing
Linux frameworks. I have Microsoft Win XP (I know, I know *head bowed in
shame*) as well as Linux and the Mac OS all co-existing relatively
peacefully in my school. This has beeen made more so by Mac OS X as it is
now less proprietary due to it's ability to work well with LPR and so
forth.

But there is no reason you could not use it for other purposes :-) It sounds like you may want to read some of the documentation on the web site about how it works. You *can* have access to the client's HD, but not by default. The befifit to this, is your clients dont even NEED hard drives.
