Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Live migration ensures that the filesystem is passed as is from one
state to the other. Restoring a checkpointed system would mean that
the system would suddenly warp back in time wrt to the filesystem, or
what is effectively the same from the system's POV the filesystem
suddenly warped ahead in time.

For example: Perhaps your crash between the checkpointing and the
resuming was caused by rm -fr / and no checkpointing could undo that :)

So checkpointing in xen would only work hand in hand with block device
snapshoting.
