Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Creating a new file and renaming it over the old one is obviously safer.
As far as the security context goes, you can either define an automatic
file type transition if the (process domain, parent directory type) is
sufficient to distinguish the file or you can have the program do an
explicit setfscreatecon() before creating the new file, either using the
result of a getfilecon() on the original file to get the old context or
using matchpathcon() to get it from the policy based on the path.
