It has nothing to do with config tools. Each and every backup tool could
use different on-tape formats. As far as backup tools, we could probably
include a small one, for use on desktop systems.
Feel free to file a bug against the distribution component in
bugzilla.redhat.com if you have a specific tool in mind.
Otherwise, check freshmeat.net and you'll see a wide range of backup
tools, including home-made scripts, proprietary programs like ArcServe
or Veritas NetBackup, and small tools like KBackup.
Note, a lot of customers seem to like Mondo, and Amanda:
