Two years ago I ask if they were going to make a Ham transmitter to go with the PCR-1000. I got the exact response that you did. "Keep watching our web site for further news." Well, for what its worth, I'm waiting for delivery of a slightly used PCR-1000 with DSP to start developing a Pocket PC/Bluetooth interface for it. It will probably be migrated into CTR-Remote (www.lynovation.com) with a spectrum analyzer display. I almost decided not to do this radio since it is going out of production, but then I was reminded that I currently support several other obsolete rigs so this one is no different. My primary interest in getting the Pocket PC talking to the PCR-1000 is for mobile/portable RF system troubleshooting since there are already plenty of good PC programs for this little gem. Spectrum Commander by Signal Intelligence, It is pricey, lacks an EPROM back up utility, but for general scanning I love it. I love TalkPCR, but it slowed my computer down to a creep and it often crashed after installing the patches to remove the nag reminder. I also didn't like TalkPCR's method of bank selection and frequency editing. But for the price ($49 or now free) it is really good software, better than Icom's or many other third party wares.
