Hi all, I use a small utility called LDSerlib, it allows you to set the
communication parameters for your com port, this may be the answer for some
Palms, but the settings make no difference to the Palm 3C, I can set any
speed (within reason) and any handshake and it makes no difference to my
machine.
My settings, just for the record are: speed 57k6, bits 8, parity none,
Xon/Xoff unticked, Rts/Cts unticked.
I'm still trying to get a palm M130 to work!!!

BTW Does anyone know if the serial port can be configured without using a
third party utility.

José controlá la tensión de fuente. Tiene que estar cercana a 13.2V. Si la tensión no es suficiente, no reconoce los estados en la RS232 (puerto serie). Con el uso luego de un tiempo la tensión de fuente suele variar. Cuando midas la tensión hacelo con el PCR 1000 conectado y encendido; si no lo hacés así la tensión de fuente será superior a la tensión de funcionamiento. También controlá la continuidad de los cables con un tester o desarmá los conectores del cable para revisar si hay alguno desoldado.
