PCR1000 swiitched on permanently - How ??: msg#00069recreation.radio.hardware.icom.pcr1000
This sounds like a simple enough thing to do, but it isn't if you have to turn the PC off every night like I do so the noise of the PC fans don't keep the missus awake!! Once the PC is off the receiver becomes inactive, even though the little green light remains on. I DX video carriers on band 1 and need to leave the PCR1000 switched on permanently in order to maintain receiver stability (i.e. cancelling out the warmup drift which lasts for hours). Is there any modification which can be done to achieve this?
