Re: TalkPCR SA and audio dropout

More on the ICOM PCR1000 / Talkpcr problem.

This morning I set up the radio, opened TalkPcr (the main screen) and 
sat back to see what would happen.  Sure enough, after ten or so 
seconds, the audio quit.  I didn't do anything more but wait.
After a while, the PC reported something like , 'communications 
problem, closing down to protect your EEProm'.

Apologies for not taking a more accurate note (it was 7AM after all) 
but I seem to have a serial comms problem.
With the ICOM software I have no problems at all. I use the radio 
quite a lot to monitor our local airfield traffic (Glasgow 
International) and it works 100%

I tried TalkPCR some considerable time ago and had the same problem.  
I never did manage to resolve it.

I tried it with two PC's, one an Athlon2000 running win2k/sp4 and the 
other a Compaq Pressario laptop.  Both exhibit the same problem.
