Hi Matty
I am at present working with two sound cards and a USB sound hub
and a USB Plantronics head set/mike all in one puter. I have a TV/cd
player internal card that works better on its own sound card, the
other internal sound card is for digital modes on ham radio, the USB
headset I use for VOIP and the sound hub for another VOIP radio link.
I would suggest you purchase a completely seperate make of sound
card so there is no conflict of software.
The other tip is you must select each time from the audio properties
what sound card you are wanting to use.
Best of luck
