Cheryl,
Thank so much for the information. I've just printed the article and gonna talk
to the vet tomorrow. I'll let you know what she will say.
There is a lot going on here and I can't do things more quickly.
Thank you!

Subject: [feline_lymphoma] Erica B12 info and link
Erica,
I am sending you the link for a posting(s) on another board.
If you scroll down a little thru the thread you will find an abstract on B12
study .
"Vitamin B-12 deficiency induces anomalies of base substitution and
methylation in the
DNA of rat colonic epithelium.
Choi SW, Friso S, Ghandour H, Bagley PJ, Selhub J, Mason JB.
Vitamins and Carcinogenesis Laboratory, Jean Mayer U.S. Department of
Agriculture

I do not have the whole paper but I am sure there is enough info there for
your vet to read
or for you to be able to look up the entire paper. I thought I had a link to
the whole paper..
sorry.
But if I find it I will send that later.
Perhaps the decussions around the use of it that are on this page .. those
who are giving
their cats the injections might be helpful to you too . Everyone that I have
seen post about
it says they prefer sub q shot to pill. and that their cats don't mind .
wanted to mention that sometimes folate (pill form because of how it is
absorbed) is
given with it because they work together.
not sure on the doseage there . seems the IBD board may be a place to check
out some
info on it.
here is the page link:

hope it helps .
let me know if you have trouble with the link and i will try and figure it
out.
i am just thinking that you may have to register to get the link. well try
and see and let me
know and we'll go from there.
best,
cheryl

I talked to my vet and she told me that they don't prescribe it and that this
injection is very
painful to a cat.
