Joel, the place that cremates should provide some type
of container until you can find just the right one. If
you want a more traditional urn, perhaps if you poke
around on the internet you will be led to just the
right one for Zombie.

What I have done on the day of a pet's passing is
meander through stores at the mall such as card shops,
ingraving stores, etc. I found a nice jewelry-type
container to use as an urn for my rabbit at an
ingraving store. For a cat, I found a tin at a card
shop that had a candle in it and a very appropriate
saying on the cover. I removed the candle and it
worked just fine. For yet another cat that passed away
the night before a vacation I was going on, I spent
the vacation on the lookout for an appropriate urn for
him. I found it at a shop at the Luxor. It looks a
little like a vase with a pattern like a wild cat--my
cat was an Abyssinian so it was very appropriate for
him. I then found in another place something that
could act like the 'stopper' on top and could be
sealed. Another cat is in a former mini-cookie tin
with black and white cats on the outside of it, just
like him.

Chrissy my Himalyan has started chemo for lymphoma and
I recently saw a tin in the shape of a hershey kiss.
Since I love to kiss her cheeks and head and she likes
to kiss (lick) my nose, I figured that tin would be
appropriate for her remains when her time comes (I'll
send a separate email to the group with an update on
her in the next day or so.)

Visitors to my house would never guess what I have in
those containers.
