Thanks, Kim and Theresa. Her RBC is good, so I guess it's just the
effects of the chemo that are making her lethargic and sad. She
hasn't been her spunky self in a long time. I took her off
Cyproheptadine yesterday to see if that helps. It will probably
take a few days to leave her system, but she has actually eaten more
this morning, without coaxing, than usual.
The vet is going to skip the Cytoxan next week and just give her
Vinchristine. If her WBC comes up enough, she is going to try a
lower dose of Cytoxan in 3 weeks.
But, I'm worried because the Vet made the comment yesterday that if
the WBC doesn't bounce back, "she really isn't willing to continue
on this course and didn't know what else to try". It seems to me
that if her WBC stays low because of the Cytoxan, it might be worth
trying Luekeran. It sounds like these two drugs have the same
function but the Luekeran may not be as harsh and it seems that a
lot of the kitties here are doing well on Luek & Pred. What do you
think?
Thanks, Melody
