Dear Karina,
When Winnie first got sick I put a quote up on my wall :
" Hope is an orientation of the spirit, an orientation of the heart.
It is not the conviction that things will turn out well ,
but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out.
---Vaclav Havel
I read your latest post and it popped into my head.
If Hobbes , for reasons beyond us, was to get so very sick,
it makes sense that he was put in your care. So he would know love and kindness
and be
well cared for during this difficult illness. He certainly wouldn't have gotten
that from his
former home.
and although you may not be able to alter the course of his illness, you have
altered the
course of his heart. and that lasts forever and ever. I believe it is the most
important thing
of all.
and if i may be so bold... from what you wrote... sounds like he did (and does)
the same
for you .
Hang in there.
We are sending good thoughts and prayers ,
Cheryl and Winnie
and the Wolf too.
