Chantal--both Rosebud (who has had obviously allergies for most of her 18 1/2
years) and Woodstock have high EOS. My vet said Woodstock's meant allergy, but
his EOS wasn't high before last month. Holistic vet said it could be an
inflammation, so Wood started back on Beta-thym--it is plant sterols and thymus
gland. He's only been on it a few days and next blood work is in about 2
weeks, so I don't know if that will be enough time for it to work and see any
results. I'll let everyone know, but you might want to check out Beta-thym
with your vet--although it is not prescription, you can buy it on the web, but
I'm not sure I'd take it w/o vet recommendation since it is a natural steroid.

Subject: [feline_lymphoma] Karina - parasites
Karina,
Please keep posting about Hobbes since I am especially interested in
your comment "never seen a cat with such a high Ensinophil count"
which is the problem Mrs. Toonsis (along with high WBC across the
board) has had for almost a year. I would like to know what tests
they will be running on Hobbes to determine the cause - we have
checked for worms and parasites to no avail. The only tests done
have been blood, urine and fecal - so interested to hear what else.
I think I will proceed with an ultrasound, but let me know. Prayers
for you and Hobbes. Chantal
PS: You haven't seen a "blubbering fool" like me and it doesn't
even have to be my cat. Anyway it shows we are compassionate,
right? Fools NO - passionate YES.
