Marie,
I don't know if this will help, but my vet had me add water to dry
food, to soften it and get more water into my cat with kidney diseae.
Of course, this doesn't address the food sensitivity issue or
anything, but if dry is all he'll eat, maybe softening it will make it
easier to process. We were working with dry WD, and adding some water
caused it to swell up wihin a few minutes.
