Subject: Re: Trader Joe tuna: was Losing the canned food battle - ideas?
My mom got me some of the Trader Joe's cat tuna. I'm keeping it for a 'just in
case.' I can't feed it to my cats, because I can't let my 18 1/2 year old
Rosebud get it because it is soooooooooo high in protein , and we have to limit
her protein because of chronic renal failure (so CRF kitties, beware). But I
have several cans in case one of my cats stops eating or needs a protein boost.
And I think for our lymphoma kitties, it would be good since it IS so high in
protein. Thanks to Sean for this recommendation.

Here's another vote for Trader Joe's tuna. I bought some a week ago on
the recommendation of someone, possibly on this forum. Maybe it was
you who recommended it, Linda (along with Kitties Lucy Renee and Chloe
  Marie)!

Anyway, my Cooper immediately went for it, and gobbled up an entire
big can in almost one sitting. Now it is about all he will eat. It's
just as you describe--tuna shreds (with occasional little bones) and
  no gravy.

I also bought a few tiny cans of another Trader Joe's tuna--this tuna
is different, loose chunks in a LOT of gravy. This one gets
Cooper's seal of approval, too, but I think he prefers the shredded
tuna in the bigger cans. I'm just glad he's eating something
consistently. Going to have to make another run to Trader Joe's tomorrow.

I hope this might work for Mr. Darcy.

  Linda
