Kim,
You can avoid any bad results from Leukeran having a blood work done each 15
days. It will tell you in time to stop if it is necessary.
The last blood transfusion Matilda had was because of Leukeran but at that time
my vets didn't do blood works each 2 weeks.
Nowadays, I have 4 cats receiving Leukeran it no problems. I think it worth a
try.

Subject: [feline_lymphoma] Question about leukeran
Hi all.
My Jen's WBC and RBC have been heading slowly downward for the last
month. She has been unable to have vincristine for a month and she has
taken 25mg of Cytoxan twice.
My vet(not a specialist) wants to switch her to leukeran 4mg every two
weeks. But I keep reading about leukeran also causing anemia and
neutropenia.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I should mention Jen is FeLV+ with mediastinal lymphoma. In remission
for four months.
Thanks,
Kim
