Maybe they broke a spark plug wire and it's only firing on 3 cylinders.
Check by removing each spark plug wire and if engine speed doesn't
change that's it. Raise idle high enough to do this first.

Maybe the EGR valve is stuck open allowing exhaust gas to constantly
flow into intake. Check vacuum line arrangemnet to hood sticker
