Re: '79 toyota sunrader.....need info on parts

For those folks in this group who are not that familiar with Sunraders, they 
have a very 
distinctive rear fender (technically it is a "fender skirt") that is of molded 
fiberglass.  The 
problem when one is damaged is that they are hard to replicate without having a 
fiberglass 
mold.  Finding one that is not damaged to make a mold from is not easy, 
especially the 
part about convincing its owner to let it be removed for mold making.  Been 
there-done 
that  ---  unsuccessfully.)  Plus the two sides are different right to left. 

Fortunately I have learned that the original molds from Sunrader have survived 
(!) and are 
in the hands of a gentleman who used to work at the Sunrader factory.  He is 
making 
replacement fender skirts from the molds when he can take time from his regular 
business.  He made a run of a few last year and may still have a couple on hand 
right now.  
I am not positive they will fit all different years of Sunraders, that is 
something you will 
need to ask him about.   He has specifically asked me not to post his name and 
number on 
this group because he can't deal with a lot of phone calls from those that are 
just curious.
