Alternator question

Hi all. I'm trying to replace the alternator on my 1985 Midas on a 1984 
chassis, 22R 4 speed. The auto parts store ordered an alternator based 
upon 5 wires to the regulator, but the plug was entirely different. Now 
they've ordered one for a 4wd fuel injected engine which I don't expect 
to fit. Has anyone had experience with fitting these alternators? Mine 
isn't even bad but just has a little noise in the bearing on the end.
